In the run-up to the 2016 elections, the NDC, in August, in cahoots with Steve Mallory, the owner of Africa Watch Magazine, published damaging articles and stories about Akufo-Addo.
The NDC paid huge sums of monies to Mallory for the publication of false news about his health.
As you can see, these are some of the lies they published about then candidate Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
They said Akufo-Addo had cancer, gave details of what kind of cancerous ailment he was suffering from.
These were done to him just so Ghanaians wouldn’t see the need to vote for a cancer patient. They said he would not have the strength, peace of mind and focus to work as President.
They said he would be a drain on our coffers since the country would need to commit so much money for his treatment.
All those stories were figments of the imaginations of those who sat down to write them for Africa Watch.
Almost 9 years down the line, the man they claimed was suffering from cancer is hale and hearty.
The Akufo-Addo they declared unfit to rule and would join his ancestors in a couple of months in 2017 is now 81, strong and kicking.
To those who planted those fabricated stories in Africa Watch Magazine, to those who paid Steve Mallory to destroy Akufo-Addo, go to the man and ask for his forgiveness so that God will also forgive you.
