Whispers Media Network has learned that COCOBOD is undergoing shakeups which have set tongues wagging by industry players.
For some unexplained reasons, the Chief Executive Officer of COCOBOD, Randy Abbey, has undertaken some reshuffles which defy conventional logic.
The CEO, has made the following changes:
1. Directors have been made special advisors to deputy CEOs and replaced with lower ranked officers.
2. Some directors have been transferred without portfolios.
3. Director of legal has been transferred to Cocoa Processing.
4. A lot of transfers are ongoing and while they are being replaced with NDC members who have no qualifications to occupy such positions.
The following transfers have so far been effected;
1. Dr. Kwame owusu Ansah – DED(Ops) to SPD as DED
2. Mr. Samuel Osei – DED, (Extension/PEPs) to Cocobod Regional office, Western North as Regional Administrator ( Deputy Director).
3. Mr. Kofi Tetteh – Dep. Director ( Finance) to Cocobod Head office as Deputy Director of Finance ( Produce Finance).
4. Mr. Patrick Wiredu – Dep.Tech. Manager from Codapec to Extension.
The following appointments have also been made by Randy Abbey and his team:
1. Mrs. Margaret Ayerakwa- Deputy Executive Director ( Extension)
2. Mr. Majeed Abdul Mumuni – Deputy Executive Director, (Operations)
3. Mr. Abu Seidu- Coordinator (CODAPEC)
4. Apostle Enoch Affenyi – Deputy Coordinator, CODAPEC,( Blackpod)
5. Fritz Elikem Kwame Adala – Deputy Coordinator, CODAPEC ( Capsid).
6. Mr. Oheneba Boamah from BCC has been transferred to QCC as Deputy Director, HR, QCC.
WMN has noted that there is a clear disregard for the rank system as used in previous years. Officers are being jumped to Managers with Principal officers being made Directors even with the absence of a board.
A great number of people affiliated to the ruling NDC are being promoted in the absence of a board.
Ironically, it is this same so-called debt-ridden COCOBOD which is clandestinely undertaking these recruitments.
