Ace morning show host on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo, Kwami Sefa Kayi was supposed to return to the show at the beginning of April. The month is ending and there appears to be no sign of his return anytime soon.
One may ask why his comeback appears to be in limbo, and the more one delves further into the issues, the more murkier they get. I have a number of questions to ask;
1. Is Fadda Dickson in cahoots with the ruling party to get Sefa Kayi out of the show because of his own affiliation with the NDC?
2. Is it the case that Kwami is the face of Peace FM in particular and Despite Media in general, thereby relegating Fadda’s role and importance to the background, that is responsible for this unfair treatment being meted out to Sefa?
3. Is it true that Fadda Dickson was dead against Kwami Sefa Kayi’s appointment to NPA’s board by Akufo-Addo that he is frustrating him like this?
4. Are we to believe that Fadda Dickson has been looking for an opportunity to boot Kwami out of Despite and for that matter, he sees the NDC coming to power as the perfect opportunity to ‘deal brutally’ with Kwami?
5. Was Kwami not coerced to apologize for a sin he never committed so that he would be allowed to return to the show as its host? Why is he still sitting on the sidelines?
6. To my NPP party, have we sat down to look at the fact that Sefa Kayi is being hounded out of Despite Media because of the perception that he was friendly towards us and not the NDC?
7. Why is the NPP quiet over this matter when the NDC boycotted Kokrokoo because of us, thereby causing a problem for Kwami?
8. If the NDC is not returning to Kokrokoo because of Sefa Kayi, why should the NPP patronize the show with Kwami’s absence?
If Sefa Kayi is not returning to the show because of us, the leadership of NPP must consider also boycotting the show. It is either Sefa Kayi returns to the show or the NPP must boycott the show as well so that Fadda Dickson can bring back his NDC elements to take charge of the station.
