Scores of communicators of the ruling party are up in arms with Felix Kwakye Ofosu over how monies meant for defending the cocaine scandal have been distributed.
The party’s social media activists, serial callers and texters and those who appear on radio and television to defend the government have expressed concern about how they have been neglected.
According to some of them, instead of prioritizing the party’s communicators, Felix Kwakye Ofosu recruited some bloggers and neutrals to share posts he made on social media about the scandalous cocaine incident.
Most of the recruited bloggers were paid GHs20,000 each just to post what Felix Kwakye Ofosu put on his Facebook page.
Some media outlets that shared the post were paid nothing less than GHs50,000 just to put the information on their websites.
These developments have angered many of the party’s communicators who have been working for the party through thick and thin over the past eight years.
“These people who have been paid these huge sums of monies, they just share the post on their walls and cannot defend it when opposition elements come upon it” one social media activist of the NDC stated.
“These are not party people. They are all about the money. They take the money and do not defend what they post. They don’t even understand the issues under contention. Why pay them and not us” a popular NDC activist emphasized.
The communicators have threatened to abandon the government if this continues.
“We shall not defend the party again if this continues. This is a classic case of the monkey working for the baboon to chop. Felix should not get us angry” another party communicator told Whispers Media Network.
