Mahama Recruiting NDC Members While He Places a ‘Freeze’ on Employment

Contrary to the Finance Minister’s statement that the Mahama-led administration has put a freeze on new employment for the year 2025, Whispers Media Network can categorically state that a section of Ghanaians are immune from this recruitment freeze.

Acting CEOs, WMN investigations have uncovered, are busily employing people to fill in vacant spaces created by the directive issued by the President of the Republic, John Dramani Mahama, through his Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah.

Julius Debrah, in January 2025, issued a directive to all MMDAs and other government agencies to dismiss all those employed after December 7, 2024. However, in its implementation, the dismissals were extended to Ghanaians employed months before the 2024 elections.

Despite the uproar and agitations from these victims and a section of Ghanaians, the Mahama government has stuck to its position by keeping these innocent Ghanaians out of work.

As at the time of writing this story, many of the agencies including Ghana Exim Bank, NHIS, PMMC, YEA and other agencies are conducting interviews for people perceived to be affiliated to the ruling party.

These newly recruits are taking over from those sacked and in some cases, new portfolios are being created by these acting MDs and CEOs. GIFEC, under the leadership of Sam George, has sacked about 21 employees who were duly interviewed by the Public Services Commission before being employed by the agency.

These clandestine recruitments are favoring only members of the opposition National Democratic Congress, leaving non-NDC members to fight for survival under a government that promised them heaven on earth.
